  • With the guidance of Ven. Rajawelle Subhetha Thero, Members of the Buddhist Students Federation together with lifelong members of the Federation commenced their Hospital Service activities on 1st January 2016 donating items to Monk’s Ward and 12th Children’s’ Ward of Colombo General Hospital.
  • I offer donations to poor and needy. I give more attention to the children and elders in our country. As far as possible I try to help the needy children and elders to ease their suffering from ill health.
  • I attended the launching ceremony of “INCO 2016” exhibition as a special guest where I was seated at the head table. At that event, I was given the honor of opening the new IIESL website and provide cash contribution for Young Inco Innovators Competition scheduled to be held at the exhibition.
  • further I am providing free Eye Care Service. For this purpose, I donate lenses and other items required for the patients who require them.
  • in addition to the above services, I donate wheel chairs to individuals and to hospitals and also provide drinking water free of charge to villages in Pohoronwewa, Dambulla since 1994.
  • an office space given free of charge to the institution of Incorporated Engineers of Sri Lanka for their city office.
  • under my charitable organization “Chitra Boteju Foundation” we give financial assistance and schooling items to poor students.
  • further Chitra Boteju Award will be given to the young innovators selected at the INCO Exhibition. In addition to this, I arranged to award prize to the school children who have the ability to produce new innovations at the school level prize giving organized by Ananda College Aurora 2014 These prizes are awarded to encourage more and more students to produce their own Creations.
  • The Buddhist Students Federation which was inactive for several years was activated recently by me with the help of other lifetime members of the Federation.
  • Chitra Boteju Foundation jointly with Siri Jayanthi Maha Karuna, Buddhist Societies of Malaysia had established a youth Training Delgoda.
  • later this Youth Centre had been handed over to the Dept. of Vocational Training free of change to training youths in our country. Further, we established medical facilities to the villagers in the area.
  • I have designed the entire electrical network for the above project at Delgoda and this project consists of 8 buildings in a land of 4 acres. And the electrical supply had been given through a 400 KVA substation for this project. I carried out all the installation of this project. All this work I have done free of charges.
  • Further, I provide financial assistance to two BIKKUNI Pirivana at Kadawata and Miyangana in addition to this I offer religious books and cast donations to young BIKKUS and to their parents at the Sasanaloka Programme of ITN (TV).
  • I am publishing articles in newspapers in order to educate the public the ways that they should adapt to save the cost of electricity.
